How may Ripsnore™ reduce snoring?
The most common cause of snoring is an airway that is partially constricted due to muscles at the back of your tongue relaxing as you go to sleep. My Ripsnore™falls out during my sleep or does not seems to work, what can I do?
Try remolding the device but this time biting really hard into the device and at the same time pressing very firmly through your lips onto the teeth and gums. This will give the device a very tight fit and increase the chances of success.
How do I clean my Ripsnore™?
To clean the device, simply place it under fresh running water.
What is the white spacer for?
The spacer is used only during the fitting process to keep the front breathing holes open. Remove the spacer when using the Ripsnore™ to allow breathing through your mouth.
Will I experience any discomfort when I first use Ripsnore™?
At first you might experience some minor discomfort in the joint at the back of the jaw. This should go away as the jaw gets more accustomed to settling into the forward position. There also may be some slight discomfort in your teeth as they help hold the jaw forward. This feeling will also diminish over time. Possible uncommon side effects are TMJ discomfort/dysfunction and permanent occlusal changes.
My jaw feels as though it's pushed forward-is this normal?
This is a common feeling experienced shortly after you remove the device. Your jaw will move back naturally and quickly-and the longer you use Ripsnore™ the more you'll get used to this sensation.
Will I still be able to breath through my mouth when using Ripsnore™?
Yes, the device has been exclusively designed with 2 structural breathing spaces in the front.
Who is able to use Ripsnore™?
All adults-male and female-are able to use the device. It has been designed to cater for all types of mouth shapes and sizes, and can be fitted accordingly.
Can people with dentures use this product?
As long as you have healthy gums and normally wear snuggly fitting dentures at night-without any signs of irritation-there is a reasonable chance Ripsnore™ may work for you.
How long will Ripsnore™ last?
The Ripsnore™ will be effective for 6-18 months. The lifespan depends upon the amount of stretching that the device experiences keeping the jaw in a forward position. Once the device is "stretched out," it will need to be replaced. The second device you receive will help ensure you get the most use between orders.
Would it be helpful to ask my dentist to fit my device?
Ripsnore™ has been carefully designed to be easily fitted. However, there is no reason why your dentist can't be involved. Your dentist can also give a professional opinion about whether or not your teeth are suitable for a jaw advancer.
